Nancy Estrada

I work with teenagers and adults who are struggling to maintain their mental health and/or are finding it difficult to balance all the demands and stressors of life. I want to partner with you and meet you wherever you are so we, together, are better able to set aside expectations and pre-conceived notions that can interfere with the counseling process. Counseling is an active process where you are in control. My role is to provide support, listen to you, and help guide you along your journey. I would be honored to accompany you down the path of life towards a better tomorrow.

Insurance: United Healthcare and Aetna. I can provide a superbill to help with deductibles and reimbursement.

More About Me

I have a Master of Science (MS) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University. I am also a nationally board-certified counselor (NCC). I use active listening to identify areas of concern in your life that may be preventing you from realizing your goals. Pulling from a variety of therapeutic approaches, we will figure out what works best for you as we work together to improve your mental well-being and achieve your goals.

My goal is to help you identify where you are in your mental health journey, where you want to be, and how to get there. I work with a holistic approach that appreciates and values all the various parts of a person without any judgment or fear of rejection. Being able to express who you are now is just as important as reaching your goals.

I work with teenagers 13+ and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, stress, low self-esteem, and life transitions. I am a fluent Spanish-speaker and Hispanic woman that allows me to be in a unique position to appreciate the subtle nuances of counseling in the Hispanic community. Additionally, I am also passionate about working with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disorders including autism spectrum disorder.

I am trained to use the following therapeutic approaches:

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

  • Child-Centered Play Therapy

  • Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)
